The VIS-IT™ Nominal Group Technique to Rank Priorities

Use this simple quantifiable technique with Big Idea Pads to help reach a consensus about priorities for decisions and action. Answer questions like: Given opportunities before us, in which order should we pursue them? Or, given the risks we’ve identified, how do they rank in danger? Or, given the factors we need to consider for this decision, which are the most important? For example, if there are six choices before the group, ask each participant to quietly consider and write down their rank each of the six choices from 1 (lowest) to 6 (highest). The facilitator then sums the individual scores for each choice, and the six are then ranked by the total score each choice received.
