Use this decision making technique with Big Idea Pads to assess the merits of several different or competing option choices against a set of pre-determined decision criteria. The Factor Analysis Matrix technique creates a row of column headings, which represent the options to be considered, and then asks the group to evaluate each option against a column comprised of several distinct decision factors. The rankings of these decision factors to be applied to each option, are best determined by either the VIS-IT™ Paired Comparison or the Nominal Group Technique methods. At the intersection of each option and decision factor, enable the group to arrive at a quantifiable value representing a relative merit score. Tally the total score for each option.
